Sibin Lu earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the English Department of Hunan Normal University in 1983, and then was selected to be a teacher of English there. In 1986 he earned his Master of Art degree from the Graduate School of Wuhan University concentrating in College English Language Teaching, then he taught English at the English Department of Wuhan University. He was also engaged in international business at China National Nonferrous Metals Import and Export Corporation, Hunan Branch, with responsibility for business English translation. In 1993, due to high TOEFL and GRE scores he was accepted in a Doctor of Education Program with a Teaching Assistant scholarship by School of Education, University of Cincinnati, USA. The long-term teaching and research experiences have constructed a solid foundation for his career. Meanwhile, nearly two decades of living and working in America has deepened his understanding of both Chinese and West Cultures. In addition, five years of his work experience in a foreign trade enterprise well meet the needs of teaching Business English.
He has a talent of Chinese caligraphy.

于７７年恢复高考考入湖南师范大学英语系，此后一直潜心英语学习和大学英语教学，先后在湖南师范大学本科毕业和武汉大学研究生毕业后留校任教，并在中国有色金属进出口公司湖南分公司从事数年外贸翻译及业务工作。
１９９３年通过较高托福和GRE考试分数获得美国辛辛那提大学教育学院助教奖学金,赴美攻读教育学硕博联读学位，在辛大当助教期间从事英语口语水平考试的工作，其专业背景更是着重英语语言和教学。扎实的专业基础和长期的教学经验，在美国加拿大学习工作近二十年使他对中西文化有较深双向了解，对英语教学和计算机网络应用的学科跨联给学生带来很大益处。此外，在外贸企业长达５年的工作经验也切合商务英语专业的教学需要。
此外，鲁老师还擅长中国书法。
